Every ear is different, which is why we don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Following your consultation and ear examination, we'll choose the safest and most effective method of earwax removal for your individual needs.

We use three techniques: microsuction, warm water irrigation, and manual removal. In many cases, one method is all that's needed, but sometimes a combination of two or even all three techniques may be used to achieve the best possible result safely and comfortably.

 Microsuction uses specialist magnifying loupes and a gentle suction device to remove earwax safely and precisely. By being able to clearly see inside the ear, we can carefully remove the wax under direct vision, making it one of the safest and most effective methods of earwax removal. 

 Warm water irrigation is a safe and gentle method of removing earwax using a controlled flow of warm water. It works best when the earwax has been softened with ear drops before your appointment. 

 Manual earwax removal uses specialist instruments to carefully lift or remove earwax under direct vision. It is particularly useful for stubborn wax or when other removal methods aren't the most suitable option.
